Why do you practice?
i believe balance is one of the most intelligent things we can strive for. with this in mind i have always been drawn to yoga because it just makes sense. all you need is your own body, and all you’re searching for is yourself. in many ways i believe yoga is the most honest thing i’ve never done because it turns the focus inward, over and over. my relationship to self is better having looked inward. i am a better person to those around me having slowed down enough to do so. i practice to come back home, to dive into my creativity, and to process the things in life that feel really, really big.

Why you teach?
one of my favourite quotes says : “If you want to learn something, read about it. If you want to understand something, write about it. If you want to master something, teach it.”
while i am not expecting to “master” yoga, my study of the practice itself brings me so much joy and is an undeniable part of my practice. i get pretty jazzed by the idea that my way of sharing yoga might draw someone new to the mat, or might impact someone differently. i love holding space for people to discover new things, grow, and feel more deeply.

Your current greatest teacher(s)?
change, and getting older.

If you could travel back in time + tell yourself anything as a beginner yogi, what would it be?
there’s no need to rush any lesson. all is coming when it’s meant to. keep brushing up against what you’re curious about, and your limits.

Other than yoga, what is part of your self-care routine that is non negotiable?
running, spending a really long time brushing my hair, creating just to create.
